End to End Process of Scheduling your Google Cloud exam to Sharing your result
Booking Google Cloud exams can be a bit more involved compared to other exam experiences. Therefore, I’m sharing insights from my 10+ exam-taking experiences, hoping to help smooth your process.
While you can reschedule most exams within 24 hours at no cost, it’s advisable to book your exam only when you are 80–90% confident about the exam guide topics and have sufficient hands-on practice with the services.
If you are first-time cert taker, too many portal names can be confusing. Let me explain their portals involved first.
- CertMetrics: Dashboard & Scheduling Partner: One-stop Certification Candidate Portal . This is like your dashboard app, which carries all the information and entry door to your exam.
- Pearson: Testing Partner: A place where you can either walk to a Pearson center and give your exam/ install the secure browser on your personal laptop and appear for your exam.
- Credly: Achievements Showcase Partner: View all your validated Certificates and share them on social media with your credentials.
Google has moved away from Kryterion and partnered with Pearson for its test takers as on 26 Feb 2026.Please follow the steps below to schedule your certification exam.

PRE-ACCOUNT CHECKS
The following guidelines will help streamline your registration and testing experience.
● Register for your exam as far in advance as possible.
○ Appointments are set up every 15 minutes around the clock.
○ Top-of-the-hour appointments tend to fill up first. Consider scheduling your exam in the quarter hour.
● Appointments at the end of the month are in high demand. Scheduling your exam earlier in the month provides the best chance at your first-choice time slot.
○ Consider scheduling your exam at a test center if remote delivery options are limited.
○ If you need to reschedule your appointment, do so as soon as possible to maximize appointment options and to avoid late reschedule fees.
● When registering, ensure that your first and last name (surname) exactly matches your government ID.
○ If the information does not match exactly, you will not be able to test.
○ You may incur additional rescheduling fees if the discrepancy is discovered on your test day.
● If you are testing online, confirm you have sufficient administrative rights on your device to download all required software.
○ Ensure your internet connection is reliable, your camera is working, and your desk surface is clear.
