Good news to Google Cloud ACE-ed folks- Genie has come your way!
Hey ACE-rs!
You loved the product and got attached to it with great effort and passion.
You were using it and the expiry date was nearing …
You were in love with that product so much that you wished the expiry date could extend for a few more days …
And guess what, our Genie listened to you and granted your wish!
Yeah, Google for now is our Genie and granted ACE certificates an extra year of validity :)
That means Google Cloud Digital Leader(Foundational) & Google Associate Cloud Engineer (Associate level) are with a validity of 3 years and look like a typical Graduation period!
No, don’t be greedy to wish for your Professional ones too! They are dinosaurs and can’t be tamed so easily ;)
All magic has happened effective Oct 1, 2022, and your dates will be reflected on your ACE digital certificate within a few days, and will the series ID will be retained. Some would already have it applied overnight!
Mine is still awaited to get applied.
Alongside this, a testing day window extension is also added as a bonus wish!
A 90-day testing window (60 days before your certification expiration date and 30 days after) to sit for their recertification exam.
So let’s check out which category you belong to and how many more days/weeks/months is your validity getting extended.
- Individuals who pass the ACE certification exam on or after October 1st, 2022 will earn an ACE certificate valid for 3 years.
- Current ACE certification holders will receive an additional year of validity on top of the existing 2 years.
- Former ACE certification holders whose certifications expired between October 1st, 2021 thru September 30th, 2022 will also benefit from the new validity period by having their certifications extended by 1 year.
