I was happy to see the DMs and responses on BMB With Rajini’s first post on Breaking Myths on Cloud Career.
Second in this series is on “Infosys Springboard.”
With the opportunities and associations I had with this platform and awesome team, I hope to break some of your myths and help you onboard on Infosys Springboard .
Myth #1: Infosys Springboard is only for Infosys employees & their families.
Reality: Infosys, as part of their ESG vision 2030, has launched digital literacy program called “Infosys Springboard.” It is open for all enthusiastic learners globally, irrespective of its connect with Infosys employment. You can get a Glimpse of Springboard here!
Myth #2: Infosys Springboard only offers courses on Infosys technologies.
Reality: Infosys Springboard offers a wide range of courses on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, data analytics, cloud computing, financial literacy, digital literacy, behavioural skills and more. These courses are not limited to Infosys technologies but cover a diverse range of emerging technologies and behavioural aspects relevant to various industries.
Myth #3: Infosys Springboard courses are too expensive.
Reality: Access to the platform and courses are free of charge for all learners through the Infosys CSR commitment to empowering 10 million people globally by 2025.
Myth #4: Infosys Vision of 10 million is unrealistic.
Reality : Infosys is glad to share that about 5.18 million plus learners across India are registered on the platform and getting benefited. Every big accomplishments, starts small and with consistent progress, we can get there and beyond!
Myth #5: Infosys Springboard courses are not recognized .
Reality: Infosys Springboard courses are industry-recognized and endorsed by top industry companies. It has contents from IIHT, Skillsoft, Coursera tie ups, U-Sky and many more. Learners who complete the courses receive certification that can enhance their career prospects and demonstrate their skills to potential employers.

Myth #6: We need to create a separate account to login and reset password is tedious

Myth #7: Infosys Springboard is only for IT professionals.
Reality: Infosys Springboard is open to anyone interested in pursuing a career in technology and softskills. The platform offers courses on various topics, including programming, data science, design, softskills and more.
Myth #8: Infosys Springboard only offers online courses.
Reality: Infosys Springboard provides online Digital Platform for Learning — AI first, Cloud first, mobile first digital learning platform to facilitate learning anytime, anywhere and any device to make learning convenient, relevant and engaging. Content has a mix of reading material, videos, quizzes, pseudo coding, coding practice without installing programming software on device, gamification, discussion forums, blogs, surveys….
Though the courses are primarily online, they also offer in-person workshops , 12 Week Internship program and networking events to help students connect with others in the industry.
Myth #9 : I see many photos with Government officials being posted. Is it open only for Government colleges and schools?
Reality : While the Springboard team works at grassroot level, they also follow top down approach . When Government bodies of different states come to a mutual consent and sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), tasks are drilled down to various schools, colleges, Universities as Circular and Action items. This will have wider impact.
Myth #10: Infosys Springboard has only limited content .
Reality : As of Feb 2023, it stands at 12300+ courses, 20+ certifications, 5000 Google Certifications and Specializations, 400 hrs of English Basic to Business Communications, 500 Guided projects, IIHT, Skillsoft, Coursera tie ups for learning and many other Diverse contet which covers Digital, Tech, Domain, Simulation, Psychometric and Professional skills.
Infosys Springboard already has 100+ finance, HR, Marketing and materials management courses. Recently launched 15 weeks industry standard 5G certification course under leadership of Dr. D.R Vaman of DRJ Telecom(USA) is being offered to 3000+ learners across India by Infosys, MBITS(Kerala) on Infosys Springboard.
Myth #11: Infosys Springboard offers only courses and no hands on platform
Reality : Infosys Springboard Makers Lab and Lab on Wheels, which facilitate hands on experiential learning for students to incubate and shape ideas towards raising their aspirations to plan their skill development and career further. Infosys is setting up thier Makers Lab across India, beginning with identified schools and Colleges. Dedicated Maker Labs are planned in major Indian cities to provide hands-on learning opportunities in the emerging technologies.
Myth #12: Infosys Springboard is only for students
Reality : It offers Faculty Enablement programs, Master classes , Capstone Projects and administrators can get thier microsite created for their specific schools, colleges, organizations. We have KSRTC Employees and other organization employees learning from this platform. The reach includes students across India in the age group of 10–22 years and lifelong learners.
Professors can make use of the following offerings on the Springboard platform.
- “Facilitate to Engage” course towards effective teaching techniques
- Authoring courses and assessments on online platforms
- They can conduct virtual classes on the platform and conduct online assessments for their students
- Professors can use the courses available on Infosys Springboard to include in their curriculum as elective subjects.
- They can create Microsites for their respective courses and curate prescriptive content for their students.
- Professors can also create their profile, learning reference materials, and discussion forum through the “Knowledge Board” feature.
Myth #13: It is available only in English and is for urban population
Reality : Learners will have no barriers. Soon, Infosys Springboard will be available in major Indian languages. It is currently available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Marathi.
Myth #14: Our children and we already have much to learn and do. This platform will be an overkill.
Reality : Continuous learning is crucial for personal and professional growth, career advancement, and adaptability in a rapidly changing world. When we have standard, tailor-made content free of cost, why shouldn’t one prioritize and acheive big?
Myth #15 : Contacting this team is tedious
Reality : You are just a mail away through springboard@infosys.com . Please write to this ID for more information and to onboard Educational institutions, your alma matter institutions and students for their learning needs.
