Google Cloud technology is ever-evolving. We require recertification to ensure you maintain your skills on updated technology and platforms.
1. All Professional Google Cloud certifications are valid for two years after an individual certifies.
2. The Cloud Digital Leader & Associate Cloud Engineer certification is valid for three years from the date an individual certifies.

You must recertify to maintain your certification status and certificate number (i.e., Series ID).

  • Does that mean you need to remember your certification expiry date?

Fortunately, No!

You will receive renewal notifications 90, 60, and 30 days before your certification expiration date.
Reminder emails will be sent to the email address you input into Kryterion’s Webassessor during your exam registration process.

  • Am I allowed to get recertified before the start of the 60-day recertification window?

No. You may only attempt the same exam while currently certified if you are within the recertification eligibility period starting 60 days before your certification expiration date.

Recertification timelines
  • My certification has expired. What happens now?

You must retake the exam to recertify to continue receiving the certification benefits.
Please note that taking the exam after your certification expires will not renew the same certification; you will be allotted a new certification Series ID and will need an exam voucher.

  • What resources can I use to prep for recertification?
  1. Google Cloud Skills Boost for Partners: https://partner.cloudskillsboost.google/
  2. Access to the relevant Skills Boost Certification Training (On-demand, video-based content, and Qwiklabs)
  3. Tech Refresh: Fast track learning experience to updating and sharpening your Google Cloud skills and preparing to recertify.

Partner Tech Refresh for Cloud Engineers offers a fast-track learning experience to update and sharpen your Google Cloud skills. We recommend this Partner Tech Refresh learning path for Google Cloud partners with an already expired or soon-to-expire Associate Cloud Engineer certification.

These Challenge Labs are designed to test your knowledge in a realistic setting. You will be given a set of tasks to complete without the benefit of step-by-step instructions. Don’t be afraid to look things up in the Google Cloud Documentation (cloud.google.com/docs). If you struggle to complete an exercise, refer to the training suggestions within that Challenge Lab, or revisit the training courses recommended in the original Associate Cloud Engineer learning path.

Tech Refresh: Associate Cloud Engineer
